Senior Travel Counselor able to:

Be comfortable with VIP and high touch clientele

Will be required to work at an onsite client location in downtown Calgary

Be familiar and enjoy working with delegates, and employees from various countries

Must be flexible with hours and commitment to the customer in a small team environment

Must be both a team and independent worker with proven problem solving skills

Must sell business travel products, on the SABRE reservation system; such as lowest logical airfares, hotel, car, train, and ground transportation

Provide information regarding all business destinations world wide

Provide information regarding entry requirements – passports, visas and health requirements to all countries

Ensure that terms of customer agreement are applied to in all transactions

Resolve customer discrepancies (ie. customer commitments not being honored by suppliers, explaining variances in fares/rates – etc)

Maintain accurate reservation records

Ensuring customer airline, hotel, and car contracts are the preferred vendors to recommend to travelers supporting customer directive

Exceptional customer service skills with a desire to go ‘Above and Beyond" for each customer individually

Work under pressure and in a fast paced environment

Qualifications

Senior travel counselor with minimum 5-7 years corporate travel experience

Mandarin speaking, required

Mandarin written, asset

Highly skilled and experienced in International Travel

Highly organized and detailed oriented – group work as asset

Understanding of the Asian Travel market

Able to work well in a small team environment

High customer servicing; including C level and VIP experience

Proven ability to make airline, hotel, and car reservations (SABRE) with high quality and productivity

Proven destination knowledge – International and focus on Asia

Proven ability to explain breakdown of airfares, air construction and itinerary information with lowest logical airfares and knowledge of rules

Excellent communication skills – written and spoken

Proven ability to diffuse irate customers and resolve conflicts

Proven ability to provide excellent customer service
